Lloyd was born Sept. 17, 1923, in Bogata to Charlie A. Bowers and Annie Bowers VanScoder and was the youngest of eight children. He was a faithful member of Turning Point Church and enjoyed working carnivals. He was a loving spirit and always tried to help those in need. Lloyd was an Army veteran of World War II in the 17th Field Artillery.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Cecil Bowers, Iris Bowers, Charles Bowers and Jack Hunter; and sisters, Mildred Hendicks, Hope Dodson and Viola Rains.
Survivors: Children, Lloyd Bowers Jr., Charley J. Bowers and Susan Morris; grandchildren, James R. Morris, Cathy Morris and Delisa Morris-Bolster; and great-grandchildren, Taylor Morris, Amaris Bolster and Aidan Morris.
