Daniel Edward Britton, III, 56, of Winchester, Virginia, died, Sunday, May 24, 2009 at his resident.
Daniel was born July 12, 1952, in Washington, DC, the son of Daniel Edward Britton, II and Helen Long Shapard. He served with the U. S. Navy and was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans Mechanized Cavalry. He was a machinist for the U. S. Postal Service until his retirement in 2008.
He married Patricia Peters Britton. She preceded him in death.
He is survived by his daughters, Marlena H. Konopka of Winchester and Danielle M. Spada of Brick, NJ; his granddaughter, Rylie D. Spada of Brick, NJ; his nephew, Dwight I. Cooke of Haymarket, VA and his wife, Heather and their children, Kayla and Jacob.
His sister, Brenda Lee Cook preceded him in death.
Family will receive friends Thursday afternoon, May 28, 2009 from 4-6 PM at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.
