Charles Behlers, son of Dale and Irene Behlers, was in the service and stationed at Frankfort, Germany; in the radio department. He was able to go to Wremen, Germany to visit family. He also visited the old Behlers' homes, churches and cemeteries of his ancestors. The church there was over 100 years old. He heard the story of how the weather vane was put on top of this church by Hinnrich Friedrich Behlers. It is told to all the children of the village. Many others had tried to put it up there but did not succeed, Behlers was a strong man no doubt, and he got the vane up there. Charles also took pictures of the ditches and dikes made by Eibe Behlers, on the surrounding area.
