George Emil Stranaky, one of two children born to Joe G. and Millie (Makalous) Stransky, Was born November 18, 1912, at Cuba, KS and died Wednesday, November 28, 1990, at Republic County Hospital in Belleville, at the age of 78 years and 10 days.
He grew up in the Cuba area, attending Tabor and Cuba public schools. He spent his life farming.
In 1950 he. married Vera Winstead Havel at Lincoln, Nebr. Later they moved to a farm near Courtland, where he lived and farmed for 10 years. His wife died in 1983.
He moved to Belleville three years ago.
He married Alice Messing in October of 1990 at Belleville.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his wife, Vera.
He is survived by his wife, Alice of the home; sister, Leona Harding of Belleville; a nephew, Don. Harding of Belleville; great-niece, Kimberly Harding, Belleville.
Funeral services were held December 1 at Tibbetts- Fischer Funeral Chapel in Belleville with Rev. Tom Ballard officiating. Burial was in Belleville Cemetery.
