03/16/2016 - Contributor Patti Fowler (47533746) provided the baptismal record from Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Evansville, MN for 1889 which shows "Bertie Oliver" son of Bernt and Karen Anseth, was born 29 October 1889 and baptized 1 December 1889.

Death of Bird Anseth


Bird Anseth, who has been living at the home of his sister, Mrs. Hans Erickson, died Saturday morning at ten o'clock, after a short illness from pneumonia.


The deceased was but a young man, being twenty years of age, and had heretofore enjoyed good health. Beside his sister, Mrs. Erickson, he also has a brother Martin Anseth, living near this city, and his father, who lives near Landa, arrived here Monday to attend the funeral services.


The funeral was held this forenoon at eleven o'clock at the Bethel church, and the interment made in the cemetery at the church.


The Tribune joins in extending to the sorrowing relatives, its sympathy in the hour of their bereavement.
