PIONEER SCOTIA MAN PASSES AWAY TUESDAY
B. C. Anseth a pioneer of Scotia, died Tuesday at the age of 83 year[s].
He was born in Solor, Norway, and came to this country in 1867. He settled in Northfield, Minn., where he lived for five years. He then moved to Douglas county, where he made his home for 27 years. He took up a homestead in Scotia township in 1899. In 1867 he was married to Caren Aasnes, from Solor.
He leaves to mourn his death, Martin Anseth, Rugby; Mrs. T. O. Torstenson, Scotia; Mrs. Hans Erickson, Rugby; Palmer nseth, Williston; Mra. Simonson, Ross; Bernard Anseth, Scotia; Adolph Anseth, Williams county; Charlot Anseth, Scotia and Mrs. John Bodell, Scotia. Mrs. Anseth died last spring.
