Funeral was 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2000. his obituary lists the wrong year (2001) OBITUARY: 2001 - ELDER W. HARRIS CRIBBS, 87, died Feb. 14 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah. He was born in Tattnall County and lived in Evans County most of his life. He was a Primitive Baptist minister for 52 years and was retired from Georgia State Prison System as a peace officer.
SURVIVORS: a son, Byron Cribbs of Claxton; three daughters, Betty Moore of Guyton, Bobbie Jarriel of Milledgeville and Bootsie Threatte of Claxton; a brother, Elder Gilbert Cribbs of Bulloch County; two sisters, Eula Dukes of Glennville and Bertha Driggers of Savannah; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
VISITATION: beginning at 6 p.m. today at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home, Claxton.
