Pvt. Anthony Lamb, 18th Wisconsin Infantry. Anthony was captured April 6, 1862 during the Battle of Shiloh in Tennessee. He died May 20, 1862 at Cahawba Prison in Alabama. After the war, the deceased Union prisoners were moved to Marietta National Cemetery. Sadly, many of the identities of the soldiers were lost during the transport. They now rest in graves of the "Unknown Soldier". Anthony was survived by his parents John & Mary (Preston) Lamb and a wife, Lydia (Thomas) Lamb, and six children, Anne, Ellen, Edwin, Frances, Florence and Charles.
