MARY L. ATTEBERY
---Mary L. Attebery, wife of John W. Attebery of the Illinois Bend community, died at her home December 10, 1933. Mrs. Attebery took a severe cold on November 29 which developed into bronchial pneumonia and died Sunday morning.
---Mary Lou Fisher, daughter of John K. and Diantha J. Fisher, was born near Blandinville, Illinois on January 1, 1875 and died December 10, 1933, aged fifty-eight years, eleven months and ten days.
---She was united in marriage to John W. Attebery of La Plata, Missouri on January 1, 1899. To this union one son was born, Everett W. Attebery who still resides with his parents.
---She united with the Baptist Church early in life and remained faithful to the end.
---She leaves to mourn her passing besides her husband and son, a foster daughter, Mrs. June Johnson and three grandchildren, Robert, Paul Dwain and Marion Homer Johnson of La Plata, step-mother, Mrs. Flora Fisher of White Salmon, Washington, two brothers, Will H. Fisher and Charles A. Fisher of Blandinville, Illinois; three sisters, Mrs. Hattie Bushnell of Blandinville, Mrs. Letha Alexander of Portland, Oregon and Mrs. Bertha Wilgus of White Salmon, Washington, besided a host of other relatives and friends.
---Mrs. Attebery was a graduate of the Blandinville High School and of the Western Illinois Teachers College of MacComb, Illinois. For more that thirty years she was secretary for the Royal Neighbors, being elected at its organization in Gifford and serving faithfully and continuously until she was called to take up her work with the recording angels of Heaven.
---She was a devoted wife and mother and a true friend to all who know her.
---Funeral services were held at the Illinois Bend Church Tuesday afternoon, December 12, conducted by Rev. M.F. Dawson, pastor of the La Plata Christian Church. Burial was made in the La Plata cemetery.
