Scott was 21 when he passed away. Too soon for such a bright light to go out, but Heaven was made a little sweeter with addition of that new angel.
Through out the years, we have grieved and mourned our son, our brother, our nephew, grandson and friend. Each one of us felt that loss differently, though no less acutely than the other person.
Scott was a very loving person and often times, his laughter could be heard throughout the entire house... that mischievous little giggle gave away that he was up to something.
His smile was contagious and shown through his eyes as only those who possess that true light can do. He loved gymnastics, Romania, and learning, but most of all, he loved his life, his family and his friends. He was gentle with us all, always listening, always reasoning.
With all of my heart, I know that he looks down at his family and sees the joys and the sorrows that we go through daily. He looks down lovingly at his nieces and nephew, and laughs that his trickster personality was passed down, not once, but three times. His legacy does live on in those three children who in many ways resemble him in both looks and actions. We lost him, but we gained three parts of him in return.
Scott's devotion to his family, his devotion to everything he did, was inspiring and it is something we should all emulate.
We're only here for a little while and even death at 100 is just a blink of time in the eye of spirit.
Believe that we will all be together again. Believe that there is something more than this life, something more than the trials and tribulations that we go through as humans and believe that when we pass... that it is not the end of our lives; just the end of our lives on this plane of existence. Believe that our ancestors watch on and have a vested interest in the things that we do and honor the dead not by grieving ourselves to death, but rather living our lives for those who are no longer here, in honor and in memory of their spirit.
These are the things that make our ancestors, our friends and family who pass happy.
Living is a privilege, not a requirement and it's yours and mine to do with as we will for better or worse. Every breath we take is a gift. Every moment we are able to look around at the people who love us is a bonus. Take today for what it is and worry about tomorrow when it gets here.

Blessed be.
