Inez Austerman, 90

Inez Mae Austerman, 90, 612 E. llth St., Rushville, died at 4:20 p.m. Dec. 25, 1992 in Miller's Merry Manor.

Bom July 30, 1902 in Rush County, she was the daughter of William and Dora (Smith) Abernathey, and had resided in Rushville for many years. She married Ralph B. Austerman in September of 1943, and he preceded her in death Feb. 14, 1975. She was the former administrator of the Holiday House in Rushville. Until 1975, she was the Activities Director at Miller's Merry Manor.

Survivors include one son: Tom Austerman, Rushville: one daughter: Mrs. Jo Ellen Thalls, Rushville; one stepson: Ralph Austerman, Franklin, Ohio; one stepdaughter: Mrs. Sally White, Richmond; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was pre-ceded in death by one son, two daughters, two sisters and one brother.

Graveside services are 1 p.m. Monday at East Hill Cemetery in Rushville, with graveside visitation only. The family requests contributions be made to the American Lung Association.
