Mrs. Tillie Wiegand, 62, resident of Port Huron 61 years and wife of Albert Wiegand, chief engineer for the city water works, died today in her home, 2012 Seventh street, after a short illness.
She is survived by her husband; five sons, Albert Wiegand, Jr., Gloucester, N.J., Earl Wiegand, Port Huron, Russell Wiegand, Jackson, and Herbert and Arlington Wiegand, both of Detroit; a sister, Mrs. Tena Limberg, Pontiac; a brother, Charles Lietz, Bellingham. Wash.; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the family residence. Rev E.J. Soell, pastor of St. John's Evangelical church, will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery.
Mrs. Wiegand was born Sept. 4, 1869 in Germany. She was a member of the Ladies Aid society of St. John's church."
