Charlotte's first husband, Joseph Yeager, died in 1867 and is buried in Abbot Cemetery in Clinton County, Indiana. Their first born son, James D., died in Indiana at the age of 2 months, and is also buried in Abbot Cemetery.
A few years after Joseph died, Charlotte married A.L. Kennedy, and together they brought the surviving Yeager sons, Albert and John Curtis, to Kansas via covered wagon.
On the 1870 Washington, Marion, Indiana, USA census she is shown as Charlott Yancy, with Thomas Yancy as head of house. Her sons from 1st marriage are there also, Albert Yeager and John C Yeager
Then there is a Clinton Co, Indiana marriage record for Charlotte Yancy and Alexander L Kennedy on June 29, 1873.
