Rev. George Clifton "G. C." Killingsworth Sr. age 71 of Gautier, MS. went to be with the Lord, Sunday, December 2, 2007 in Ocean Springs , MS. surrounded by family. He was born May 12, 1936 in Chase, LA to the late Almon Mack and Ludie Ella Elizabeth Jones Killingsworth. He was educated in the Pascagoula School System before joining the United States Army where he was an MP during the Korean War. He received a degree in electronics in Mobile, AL. and later took a class in cabinetmaking in Athens, AL. He was also employed by Ingalls Shipbuilding as an electrician. Rev. Killingsworth begin his ministry in 1967, and was ordained in the United Pentecostal Church International. He received his degree in theology in what he referred to as the PTSOK ( Pine Thicket School of Kneeology). He spread the gospel of Jesus Christ for over 40 years as a pastor and evangelist. He pastored churches in Mississippi, Arkansas, and Alabama, evangelizing throughout the United States. He was given a second chance at life in May of 1990 when he received at heart transplant. He enjoyed hunting, and fishing the Tennessee River with his best friend, Rev. Gerald Davis, on the " Ms. Barbara". He also enjoyed working in the yard and his woodshop as long as his health allowed. He leaves a legacy of love for humanity and a burden for souls. He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Pamela Marie Green; a grandson, Michael James Killingsworth; two brothers, Cecil and Levon Killingsorth. "Bro G.C.", as he was known, is survived by his wife of 49 years, the former Bettie Ruth Thompson of Gautier, MS.; two sons , George C. "Rock" Killingsworth Jr. and his wife Tammy of Gautier, MS. and Rev.Charles Darron Killingsworth and his wife Tracie of Mt. Pleasant, TX.; six grandchildren, Brock Killingsworth and his wife Stacey, April Killingsworth, Heather Graves and her husband Coby, Jonathan Green, Christian Killingsworth and Cason Killingsworth; two great grandsons Cameron Bryce and Hayden Blake Graves.; three brothers Rev. C.E. Killingsworth and his wife Irene, Billy Ray Killingsworth and his wife Vera , Michael Killingsworth and his wife Nancy; sister-in-laws, Hilde Killingsworth, Edna Blough (Isaac), Doris Accord, Barbara Butterworth (Ollie) ; brother-in law, Rudolph Thompson (Pat); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 4, 2007 from 6-9 pm at Turning Point United Pentecostal Church in Gautier, MS. Home Going Service will be at the church at 2pm on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 Rev.Derrick Killingsworth, Rev. Gerald Davis, and Rev. Dave Sagil officiating. Interment will follow at Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula, MS. Serving as pallbearers will be Brock Killingsworth, Kraig Killingsworth, Joey Killingsworth, Donald Killingsworth, Coby Graves, and Rev. Andy Kelly. Honorary Pallbearers will be Terry and Dennis Killingsworth.
