Original tombstone gone, but later marker identifies him as a veteran of the Revolutionary War. According to D.A.R. records, Henry Mayberry was listed under Virginia Troops, Vol. 8, p. 403. "This ancester's service was approved by the D.A.R. on Jun. 30, 1937. Nat. # 302439"

Encyclopedia of American Quaker Genealogy, Vol BI, Virginia lists marriage of Henry Mayberry and Magdalene Carn with Michael Carn as surety on April 2, 1778.
