Per his daughter's interment record at CCMPC, some of his ashes were interred in her casket when she was buried there.
Son of William Melville and Ellen Griffith Burdge he married first Maude Delamater June 28, 1898 and after her he married Edith Maize June 13, 1930. She pre deceased him in 1937 and he then married Elmire Gilmore Soovel. He is buried with his second wife. He died at his summer home in Conway, Carroll County, New Hampshire. Elmire went back to Nebraska sometime after Howard's death and died in Chadron.
