Mrs. William F. Skyles Sr.
Mathews - Mrs. Nellie Powell Skyles, 67, of Grimstead, died on Tuesday, Nov. 21 in a Portsmouth hospital.
She was a member of Gwynn's Island Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, William F. Skyles, Sr., of Grimstead; three daughters, Mrs. Edward C. Langfelder of Richmond, Mrs. P. G. Ross, Jr., of Norfolk and Mrs. Frank Hudgins, Jr., of Grimstead; two sons, Robert M. Skyles of Waco, Tex. and William F. Skyles, Jr., of Tampa, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. George Daly, Mrs. Rose Schwehn and Mrs. Lucy Paris; and two brothers, Edgar A. Powell and Melville Powell, all of Norfolk.
A funeral service was held at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Gwynn's Island Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. L. R. Broughman, pastor. Burial was in the Gwynn's Island Cemetery.
