The Rev. Elwood D. Penton, 88, a native and resident of Robertsdale, died Thursday, May 12, 2005.
He was a retired Assembly of God minister serving churches in Ohio, Pennisular, Fla., and Alabama Districts, locally in Bon Secour and Robertsdale.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred L. Penton of Robertsdale; a sister, Ann Kornegay, Panama City, Fla.; nieces, nephews; and several grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 16 at the Robertsdale First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Michael Lynn and the Rev. James Adams officiating and burial was in Rock Cemetery, Robertsdale.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Robertsdale First Assembly of God Church, P.O. Box 914, Robertsdale, AL 36567.
Arrangements were made by Mack Funeral Home and Crematory, Robertsdale.
