Mrs. Jennie Goodin, mother of John H. Goodin, superintendent of schools for Scott county, died at her home in Charleston, Tuesday morning at the age of 83 years. The funeral was conducted at the Charleston Methodist church yesterday by two of her nephews, Revs. Marvin and Linn Haw, of St. Louis. Interment occurred in the Odd Fellows cemetery at Charleston. Mrs. Goodin was an aunt of Mrs. M.Q. Tanner of Sikeston.

NOTE: Jane Goodin's mother was Catharine Logan Dinelback Haw (1821-1873), Catharine married Rev. Uriel Haw in 1842, he died in 1844. Jane married William Logan Sr., Scott County, Mo. Justice of the Peace (1841)
