John loved walking he walked more miles than I can imagine. He suffered from schizophrenia and had good days and bad, his main problem was not wanting to take his medication it was slowing him down he'd say. He was a very heavy smoker, had severe COPD, he was walking to one of his favorite hang outs on February 14th 1996 and fell and hit his head he never recovered.
