JULIETTE - Gertrude Speir Bryant died Wednesday, November 16, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 11A.M., Friday, November 18, 2011 at East Juliette Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Reverend Henry Brooks will officiate.
Mrs. Bryant, the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Lucy Lee Cornwell Speir, was born January 29, 1922. Her husband, Herschel Z. Bryant, her sons, Bobby Lee Bryant and Billy H. Bryant and her sister, Helen Stuart, preceded her in death. She was retired from Bibb Manufacturing Company and was a member of East Juliette Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sisters, Lois Wallace of Warner Robins, Nonie (Tommy) Hunnicutt of Forsyth; brothers, Ben "Popcorn" (Judy) Speir of Juliette and Leon "Monk" (Evelyn) Speir of Forsyth.
