Hayden E. Slagal, 97, died Friday at Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester. Born in Huntington County, he owned Meyers Interior Decorating, Fort Wayne, for 40 years before retiring in 1990. His wife, Lydia M., died in 1970. Surviving are a son, Robert Paul of Richmond; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Timbercrest Chapel, North Manchester, with calling an hour before services. Arrangements by DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary, North Manchester.
