Mrs. Hugh Rowe Dies at Age 93
Mrs. Minnie Rowe, 93, of Philadelphia, Pa., widow of Hugh Rowe, died at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday at Philadelphia following an illness of several years.
Born Jan. 19, 1878 in Wells County, she was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan McFarren. Her marriage to Mr. Rowe, who died in November 1943, took place March 9, 1901.
Mrs. Rowe was a former resident of Poneto.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. H. T. (Helen) Goss of Shreveport, La., Mrs. Tim (Dorothy) Wheeler of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Wayne (Martha) Huffman of Bluffton Route 2 and Miss Ruth Rowe of Philadelphia, Pa., five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after noon Thursday at the Thoma Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Rev. Albert Clark will officiate and burial will be in the Six Mile Cemetery.

Relatives Here for Rites of Mrs. Rowe
Mrs. H. T. Goss of Shreveport, La., Mrs. R. K. Egger and son, Warren, of Houston, Tex., and Mr. and Mrs. Warren Goss of Djakarta, Indonesia, were here last week to attend funeral services for Mrs. Hugh Rowe and were guest in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Huffman.
Miss Ruth Rowe, who is hospitalized at Philadelphia, Pa., due to back surgery, was unable to attend services for her mother. Mrs. Tim Wheeler of Phoenix, Ariz., went to Philadelphia to be with her sister at the time of services for their mother.
Mrs. Rowe, who was 93 years of age at the time of her death, was the last of 11 children born to Jacob and Emily McFarren.
