NEPHI BENNETT
Malad - Nephi Albert Bennett, 71, Malad, died Wednesday in Oneida County Hospital.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Malad Fourth Ward LDS Church with Bishop Colen Sweeten officiating.
Mr. Bennet (sic) was born July 29, 1889, at Albion, a son of John George and Elizabeth Ann Laws Bennett.
He married Martha Leona Jenkins Oct. 22, 1912, at Malad. The marriage was solemnized Jan. 17, 1918, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.
He was educated in Bothwell, Utah, and moved to Malad when 21 years old. He was an active member of the LDS Church.
Survivors are his widow, Malad; two sons and two daughters, Lamar Bennett, Portland; Dean Bennett, Boise; Mrs. Mark Lott, Ogden, Utah; Mrs. Wendell Harris, Springfield, Ore.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and Mrs. Mary Wright, Malad, a sister.
Friends may call at the family home at 293 North 200 West, Friday night and Saturday before services. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery under direction of Benson Funeral Home.
