Margaret (Margie, Peg) and Bertrand (Bert) had 7 kids, 2 of whom died in infancy. Her parents (Joseph James Oberster and Julia Ann Kuba) immigrated from the old country. Her mother was from Czechoslovakia and her father was from Austria. Not much is known about her family but I am currently researching that side of my family. She and Bert were my grandparents. Grandma was a wonderful cook. I miss the homemade chicken soup and chocolate chip cookies. :-)
