Lorenz Sternig, sr., 63, died Mon. at his home, 1532-A N. 22nd st., after a long illness. He was born in Austria. In 1909 he came to Milwaukee. He worked as a tailor with the Permusch Cleaners & Dyers. He was a member of the Edelweiss society, fraternal organizations, and the Holy Name society of St. Michael's church. Surviving are his wiife, Mary; a son, Larry; three daughters, Mrs. Josephine Kempinger, all of Milwaukee; six sisters, Mrs. Lena Mente, Mrs. Gertrude Sternig, Mrs. Anna Sternig and Mrs. Ida Brunner, Milwaukee, and Mary and Rosa, Austria, and a brother, Peter, Austria.
Services will be held at St. Michael's church, 1445 N. 24th st., at 9 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery. The body will be at Pertzborn funeral home, 2336 W. Cherry st., after 1 p.m. Wed.
