Roberta A. Kemp, 90, of west Tulsa passed from this life on Sunday, May 17, 2009 in Tulsa. Roberta was born January 26, 1919 in Elgin, Kansas the daughter of Archie and Mae (Nelson) McDonald. Roberta married Earl Wayne Kemp on September 30, 1938 in Mountain View, Arkansas and they made West Tulsa their home in 1942. She was a retired bookkeeper for Community State Bank and was a member of Carbondale Baptist Church. Her hobbies included sewing, quilting, crocheting, gardening, cooking, and she loved to shop for others. Her survivors include her husband, Earl Kemp of the home; 4 daughters: Carolyn Crabtree Quiggle and husband, Gary of Tulsa, Sandra Cantrell of Tulsa, Tina Avants and husband, J.B. of Broken Arrow, and Vicki Kemp Manley of Tulsa; 2 sisters, Ina M. Ayliffe of Dallas and Mildred "Bobbie" Smith and husband, Dale of Bridgeman, MI; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers; and 7 sisters. The family will receive visitors Wednesday, May 20th, 3pm-8pm in the Heath-Griffith Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service is scheduled for 2 pm, Friday, June 5, 2009 at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel, 405 S. Peabody, Mountain View, Arkansas with burial following in the Marcella Cemetery in Marcella, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Heath-Griffith Funeral Home.
