Mahlon E. Barton of Crystal Springs died Oct. 15 in Everett at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Lucas. A son of Joshua and Sarah (Hoop) Barton, he was born 80 years ago. His first wife was Lenora Mellott, who preceded him in death; the second, Jennie Foor, who survives, together with the seven children: Mrs. Lucas, above named; Ralph, Crystal Springs; Mrs. A.E. Deshong, Andover; Celia of Grant's Pass, Ore.; Mrs. Charles Shindel, Wilkinsburg, and Mrs. Gilbert Rice of Tiffin, O. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Francis Deshong of Rt. 2 Everett.
