Mrs. Hoien passed away Saturday, May 15, at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville.
Born Dec. 15, 1887, in Christian County, Illinois, Mrs. Hoien was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fuller. She received her education in rural Emmet and Kossuth county schools, graduating from Dolliver High School in 1905 and from business college in Cedar Falls.
She lived most of her life in Emmet and Kossuth counties, moving to Estherville in 1947. Mrs. Hoien was a resident of the Good Samaritan Center here for the last eight years. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Hoien is survived by two sons, Jay Hoien and Bruce Hoien, both of Estherville; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Irma Stonebeck, Fairmont, Minn., and Mrs. Charles (Grace) Anderson, Minneapolis, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, four brothers and six sisters.
