Funeral services for Mrs. Rebecca Boyett 71, of Collins, who died at her home Wednesday morning after a short illness will be held today (Thursday) at 3 pm in the Old Anderson Primitive Baptist Church, conducted by Elder J.Q. Boyett and Elder Harvey Holland. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Monroe, NC, but had lived in Tattnall County for the past 60 years. She was a member of the Old Anderson Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, J.Randall Boyett, of Collins; three daughters, Mrs. Wilford Collins and Mrs. Harris Howington, both of Pineville, NC and Mrs. Thelma Haile, Manassas; two sons, Lucious and Roy Boyett, both of Manassas; one half brother, B.C. Plyler, Clanton; 35 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, J.E. Howard and Calvin Boyett, Robert, Colon and J.D. Haire, Gail Collins and Bobby Howington.
The body will be at the home until time of services.d/o Calvin PYLER & Susan "Susie" FUNDERBURK Plyler ; w/o John Randall BOYETT; m/o David, Buist Esta, and Lemuel A. Boyett, all who are buried at Anderson. She is buried as Rebecca P. Boyett, beside Johnie R. Boyett, near David Boyett, and beside Buist Esta Boyett.
