Burial was in the Crosbyton cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.

She died Friday, January 10, 2003.

She was born April 12, 1914, in Petrolia. She moved to Crosbyton in 1938. She married Duward Belmont Ellison on February 19, 1940, in Lakeview. He died April 8, 1983

Mrs. Ellison attended school in the Lakeview Community, Floyd County in the 1930's, and then graduated Amarillo Beauty College. She was a member of the Crosbyton Church of Christ and the Needle Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Judy Brown of Iowa Park; two sons, Terry and Brooks, both of Crosbyton; six sisters, Ernestine Cotthaus of Grand Junction, Colorado, Dana Applegate of Alvarado, Sue Powell of Cortez, Colorado, Tommie Dennison of Lubbock, Leona Looney of Huntsville and Maxine Beck of Dumas; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to White River Youth Camp, P.O. Box 455, Crosbyton, Texas 79322, or the Western Christian Foundation, P.O. Drawer W, Wichita Falls, Texas 76308.
