Sherman in his march to the sea, and was with his regiment in its fights and skirmishes. He has held the office of Secretary of the Cedar County Agricultural Society, and is now its President, and has held all the various town and school offices; owns a farm of 250 acres; was elected General Manager of the Tipton Co-operative Store. Married Miss Catharine E. Thayer, from Rochester, N. Y., Nov. 29, 1857. They have seven children--William F., Leslie H., Anna E., Sherman C., Omar E., Ida H., Delia A.
