Private graveside services were held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum of the Resurrection, conducted by the Rev. Steven C. LeBlanc, pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church of New Iberia. Survived by mother, Catherine Gale Grossie Lear, Lafayette; a brother, Oliver James Lear, Lafayette; paternal grandparents, Mabel and Clifford Lear, Lafayette; maternal grandmother, Inez Grossie, Lafayette. Preceded in death by father, Calvin Lear on Nov. 23, 1997; and maternal grandfather, Albert Grossie Jr. Martin & Castille Funeral Home Inc., Lafayette, in charge of arrangements.
