SIMPSON, Margaret (Elliott) Margaret (Elliott) Simpson, 93, of South Windsor, widow of Albert W. Simpson, died Tuesday (May 12, 2009) at her residence. Margaret was born in Ellington July 30, 1915, the daughter of Harry B. Elliott and Hannah (Kingsbury) Elliott, and was raised in Manchester before moving to South Windsor in 1955. She was a former volunteer with the Girls Scouts in South Windsor and a longtime member of the Second Congregational Church in Manchester. Margaret is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen E. and Geoffrey Woodward of Chaplin; three sons, David E. Simpson of Blacksburg, VA, Barry A. Simpson of St. Louis, MO, and John H. Simpson of Indianapolis, IN; three grandchildren, William Simpson, Sarah Woodward and Matthew Woodward, and her sister, Mary F. Dickenson of Bolton. Besides her husband, Margaret was predeceased by her brother, Harry K. Elliott.-Hartford Courant
