Isaac DuBose was enumerated in Sep 1870 in the U. S. Census. He appears to have died after that, and does not appear in the 1880 U. S. Census. The homemade cement marker for him at this cemetery does not bear the date of his death.

Isaac DuBose, VI, is my fourth great-grandfather. I descend from his son, James Allen DuBose, whom we believe to be buried in St. Clair County, Alabama. James Allen DuBose was the father of Andrew Thompson DuBose, who lived on the Saluda County side of the Edisto River, just across from Aiken County, South Carolina. Andrew Thompson DuBose is my second great-grandfather.
