Clyde Bay Breshears, 85, a retired electrician for Great Western Sugar Factory, died at his home in Billings on March 13, 2005, after a heart attack.

He was born Aug. 12, 1919, in Howard, the son of Marvin and Elizabeth (Melinger) Breshears. He attended school until age 14, and then he moved to Great Falls to work in a mattress factory as an apprentice. On Sept. 2, 1939, he married Mary Louise Burnett in Billings.

He served during World War II in the Aleutian Islands with the 3063rd Ordinance Service Company. Following his discharge in 1945 he started his own mattress factory in Billings. He later worked at Great Western Sugar Factory, starting as a laborer. He retired as an electrician after 33 years. He was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church.

Survivors include children, Kay Talbot of Vallejo, Calif., and Jim Breshears of Camarillo, Calif.; a brother, Tom Breshears of Billings; and sisters, Helen Fulton of Powell, Wyo., and Stella Breshears of Billings.

Visitation was on March 17 at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Services were on March 18 at Shiloh United Methodist Church. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
