Clyde W. Donahue, 88, former of Bonner Springs, and a resident of the community, died on Friday, June 8, 1990, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. He was mayor of Bonner Springs in the early 1950's. Mr. Donahue was a painter and had worked for Daryl Johnson Painting Contractors before he retired. He was a member of the Painters Union. Mr. Donahue was a member of the International Order of Odd Fellows and the Bonner Springs United Methodist Church. He was born in Houston, Texas, and had lived in Bonner Springs for more than 80 years. He is survived by his wife, Grayce Donahue of the home; a son, Darrell Donahue, Bonner Springs; two daughters, June Kueker, Bonner Springs and Marlene Tonne-sian, Bakersfield, Calif. ; two brothers, Edwin Donahue, Scottsville, Ky.; Roy Donahue, Forsythe, Mo.; two sisters, Pearl Troth, Oxford, Mich.; Edna Adams, Scottsville; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Services were held on Monday, June 11, at the Alden-Harrington Chapel. Burial was in the Bonner Springs Cemetery.
