Mrs. Oliphint Dies At Easton

Mrs. Lydia Frances Oliphint, 98, died Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Marie Knapp, Easton, route 1.

Mrs. Oliphint was born at Weston, Mo., Aug. 23, 1861, a daughter of George Washington Robbins and Sarah James Simmons Robbins. On Nov. 8, 1881, she was married at Weston to William Edmon Oliphint of the Oak Mills community. Her husband was a son of William and Matilda Eiler Oliphint, who were pioneer settlers of the Oak Mills vicinity.

Mr. Oliphint died Nov. 27, 1927.

As a young woman Mrs. Oliphant was a member of the Round Prairie Christian church. Later she became affiliated with the Kickapoo Methodist church.

She leaves five daughters, Mrs. Knapp, Easton, Mrs. Alberta Jones and Mrs. Ethel Grisby, both of Hutchinson, Mrs. Aletha Knapp, Jarbalo, and Mrs. Faye Pasewark, Kansas City, Kas.; a brother, Richard Robbins, Kansas City, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Martie ?ight, Weston, Mo.; 20 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren.

The casket is at the Sexton funeral home in Leavenworth. Funeral services will be held there at 2 p.m. tomorrow. The Rev. John Hodge will officiate. Burial will be in Kickapoo cemetery. The casket will be in state at the Sexton chapel after 3 p.m. today. The Bradford funeral home at McLouth is in charge of arrangements.
