John Johnson Dies At Rexburg(Special to the Post Register) REXBURG, December 26--Funeral services for John Robert Johnson, 88, who died Sunday enroute to the Rexburg hospital, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Second LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Albert Pieper officiating. He had been ill for some time. He has resided in Rexburg for the past 42 years, being employed by local sheepmen. He was born February 29, 1802 at Fountain Green, Utah. Besides his widow, Edith Mock Johnson, he is survived by the following sons and daughters; Elmer Johnson, St. Helens, Oregon; Julia Rapplinger, Driggs; Verna Radford, Idaho Falls; Betty Skiles, Burley; Perry and Steve Johnson, Rexburg and by 12 grandchildren and by the following brothers and sisters: Reece Johnson, Burley; Ernest Johnson, Rigby; Perry Johnson, Salt Lake City; Juliet Johnson, Los Angeles; Mrs. Nephia Anderson, Provo, Utah, a half-brother, Charles Johnson, San Diego and half-sister, Mrs. Elda Muir, Idaho Falls. A son, Ralph was killed in World War II and another daughter, Lois preceded him in death.
