Virgie Laura Killen Looney, 77, of Gonzales, Texas, passed away Friday, May 15, 2009, at her residence. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud, with Jeff Watkins, a longtime family friend, officiating. Burial will follow at Powers Chapel Cemetery near Rosebud. Visitation will be Sunday, prior to services.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Ray A. Looney, of Gonzales; daughter, Lynne Looney, of Atlanta, Ga.; and granddaughter, Laura Looney, of Atlanta, Ga.
