Weldon Zimmerman
Funeral for Weldon D. Zimmerman, 88, lifetime resident of Sterling, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Porter Sillin Funeral home, Sterling, with the Rev. Robert Friesen officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.
Among survivors are a son Wallace Zimmerman of Garden City, a daughter and four grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by a son Walter Zimmerman, in 1951.
Mr. Zimmerman, a retired farmer, died Feb. 20, 1996, at the Good Samaritan Center in Lyons.
He was born Nov 25, 1907, in rural Plevna, to Solomon and Caroline Fliginger Zimmerman. On Sept. 6, 1927, he married Ethel Margie Cross at Hoisington. She also survives.
Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Home.

He was born Nov. 25, 1907, in rural Plevna, the son of Solomon and Caroline Fliginger. He was a retired farmer.
On Sept 6, 1927, he married Ethel Margie Cross in Hoisington.
Survivors include his wife; a son Wallace, Garden City; a daughter, Sherry Bigcharles, Lyons; four grandchildren, Tony Bigcharles, Toledo, Iowa; Bonnie Dalke, Garden City; Ann Davis, Elizabeth Colo; and Kathy Lowry, Greenacres, Wash.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Porter & Sillin Funeral Home, Sterling, with the Rev. Robert Friesen officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.
