Fred M. Cable, 89, Moberly, formerly of Clark, died Saturday, Feb., 8, 1992, at 1:10 p.m. in Moberly Regional Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 22, 1902, at Clark, a son of the late Charles M. and Elizabeth Cannon Cable.
Mr. Cable lived in Clark all of his life and in Moberly the past three years. He had worked at the Brown shoe Company and retired from farming. Following his retirement, he operated the Clark Pool Hall for 15 years. He was a member of the Clark Christian Church.
On July 5, 1944, he married Zana Daniel at Kansas City. She survives of the home.
Also surviving are two sons and one daughter in law, Bill and Lea Cable, Kansas City; and Harold Cable, Columbia; four daughters and three sons in law, Helen and Gerhard Kipping, Carmichael, CA; Delores and Robert Follette, Sacramento, CA; Beverly and the late Robert Whitehead, and Linda and John Rutledge of Moberly; two sisters, Carlene Lewis and Opal Smith, both of Moberly; two sisters-in-law, Mary Cable of Clark; and Ilene Cable of Moberly; 20 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Cater Funeral Chapel. Burial is to be in Chapel Grove Cemetery will Rev. James smith, Assembly of God minister, officiating.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m., at Cater's.
