James David Hicks
Husband of Sarah Ann Moses Hicks

He and Sarah Ann Moses Hicks were the parents of six known children: William Walter "Bill"; Edward Richard "Ed"; Janie Bell; Ella Sue; Archie Read; and Leslie; and one unidentified child.

{Additional Information: In the 1900 census of Union Township, Pulaski County, Missouri, James D. Hicks was recorded along with wife Sarah A. and their four children: William W., age 11; Edward B., age 9; Ella S., age 6; and Jane B, age 3. Sarah A. was shown as the mother of 4 children of which 4 were living. Then in the 1910 census, J. D. & Sarah Hicks were enumerated along with three children: Janie, age 13; Archie, age 10; and Leslie, age 8. Sarah was shown as the mother of 7 children of which 5 were still living. Based upon the information in those two censuses, it would appear that a child was born and died between 1900 and 1910. No other information has been found in regard to Leslie (son).]
