Services for Mrs. Maude Alberta Ranes, 67, Lafayette, who died December 6 in McMinnville, were held December 9 at 1:30 p.m. at the chapel of Macy and Son funeral home. Rev. Lyle Leach, Lafayette, officiated. Burial was at Gales Creek. Pallbearers were W.R. Finnell, O.D. Pratt, Will Morgan, Jim Benham, E.L. Morgan and W.G. Courtney.

Born in Illinois, Mrs. Raness was married in 1923 in Tillamook to Thomas Fulton Ranes, who survives. She was a member of the Evangelical church in Lafayette and the Banner Rebekah lodge No. 53 in Lafayette.

She is survived, in addition to the widower by a step-son, Thomas Eugene Ranes, Murphy, and a step-daughter, Margaret Irene Vincent, Walla Walla; three brothers, A.D. Dill, Tillamook, E.E. Dill, Multnomah and Ed Dill, Condon; two sisters, Minnie Bishop, McMinnville, and Jessie Miller, Virginia, and two grandsons, Jack Jensen, and Francis Eugene Ranes, Gales Creek.
