Former Resident of Sheridan, Oregon, is buried in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles, Cal Mar 22 (special) James Lawson Hembree 1349 Delong Street was buried here today. Mr. Hembree served in the Civil War, was a native of Oregon and former resident of Sheridan, Oregon.

A year ago Mr. Hembree came to Los Angeles to make his home with his daughter, Mrs. Lillian Bowen. A son Earl G. Hembree survives the veteran. Three brothers and one sister also survive.

Dr. Atlus T. Hembree, Mayor of Redondo is a nephew of Mr. Hembree. The funeral was under the direction of the local Grand Army Post. James M. Syles and Army trumpeter, sounded "Taps" over the grave.
