Clair was born in Milton Vt, the daugther of the late Nelson and Emeroy (Gover) Snide. Claire was married to Louis Abair in 1946, who predeceased her. She was also predeceased by one son, Louis Abair Jr.; and four brothers . She is survived by one son Nelson Abair of Newport; also three grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St.Stephen's Catholic Church in Winooski with interment in the St.Stephen's Cemetery .
