Wayne City, Dies
Mrs. Elsie Niccum, 80, of Wayne City, died at 12:01 p.m. Sunday at the Flora Nursing Center.
She had been in declining health for sometime with her death due to causes incident to her age.
Mrs. Niccum entered the Flora nursing home Mar. 5, after having been a patient at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. She had also resided at the Cisne Manor nursing home.
Services Tuesday
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday the Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City. Rev. Mark Potter willl officiate and burial will be in the Thomason cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Monday (today).
Mrs. Niccum was born in Wayne County Nov. 18, 1903, the daughter of William and Ida Mae (Terry) Miller. She was a lifelong resident of Wayne county and attended Wayne county schools.
She was married to Ottis Niccum in Mt. Vernon, Nov. 23, 1923. He preceded her in death Apr. 6, 1964.
Mrs. Niccum worked as a seamstress from her home for a number of years. She attended the Wayne City Baptist Church.
The Survivors
Surviving are one son, . . . ; two daughters, . . . ; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two brothers,. . . .
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant daughter and one brother.
NOTE: Elsie's father's name is wrong in the obituary. Her father was Jaspar Williard Miller, s/o Joesph Alexander Miller and Nancy Rose Miller. He was commonly known as Williard.
