Mrs. E. S. Blount, one of the oldest ladies of Washington county, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G.M. Roughton, last Friday afternoon, aged eighty-three years. She had been in declining health for some time past and her death was not unexpected. She is preceded in death by her husband Sidney and son's John Thomas and Sidney, daughters Emma and Annie. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Lennie Roughton, Mrs. Lula Jackson and Mrs. Ella Brooks, one son Mr. Augustus M. Blount. Burial took place at Tabernacle cemetery Saturday afternoon.
