John Edward Tickle, 78, died Thursday evening in a Salem Nursing Home. Born in Pulaski County, the son of the late James A. Tickle and Cynthia Price Tickle. He was the widower of Stella Byrd Tickle. Mr. Tickle is survived by one son, Ralph E. Tickle, Pulaski; three brothers, James L. Tickle and Paul C. Tickle, both of Pulaskl and Robert H. Tickle, Roanoke; two sisters, Mrs. Carl Lindamood, Bristol, VA, Mrs. William Parks, Pulaski; also two grandchildren. The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Thornspring United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Lonnle Fields and the Rev. Clifton Anderson
officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The body will remain at Thomas M. Seagle& Sons Funeral Home until one hour before the service.
