Mrs. Alice Hartshorn, wife of A. N. Hartshorn, died at her home southeast of here Tuesday evening of last week of consumption. She was born August 20, 1874 and died March 6, 1906, aged 31 years, 6 months and 16 days. Deceased had been a faithful member of the Baptist church here for twenty years and a short time before her death she said "I am safe." She has belonged here to the Rebekah lodge for nearly fifteen years and by her death the lodge loses a valuable member. She leaves a husband, three children, a mother, and two brothers to mourn their loss. Funeral services were held in the Baptist church Tuesday morning, Rev. T. O. Reed officiating. Interment in Broadway Cemetery.
